Route

1. With your back to the Gateway of Bishop's Close join the footway in front of Turpins (Dicks aunt lived here). Just before the end of Pearson Road, cross pound lane on right and bear left up Charvil Lane. Continue along roadside on right of road until you reach the entrance to Sonning farm. Cross the road here to enter permitted path through gateway
2. Follow the farm t rack ahead, concrete at first, then gravel, slowly descending with open views. On reaching the Farm buildings on right, go straight on along grassy track, to leave fields by wooden swing gate. Turn left along tarmac lane soon to reach road bridge over St Patrick's Stream.
3. Do not cross the bridge but turn left to soon join the riverside. Walk along the river for about a mile to reach Sonning Bridge.
4. Walk under the bridge and shortly turn left up gravel path to the church of St Andrew and The Bull pub which belongs to the church. Walk to high street, turn right and right again at the top to find your way back to the start
